The Tenue. ‘Steve’ heavy weight sweater is a tribute to classic American Sportswear. Tenue. founder Menno van Meurs started collecting vintage college sweaters at a young age.

The reason why he chose to buy these vintage sweaters was because no one, at the time, seemed to make that highly durable quality. College sweaters from, for example, the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s would be worn for a life time. Those sweaters would remain wardrobe favourites long after graduation. After years of research Tenue. managed to find a heavy weight, BCI certified jersey fabric that met all expectations. More importantly; they found a supplier willing to create a heavy weight garment in the same fashion. The Steve sweater is made to be loved and worn every day.
